Sooo excited to finally be writing this....... Kyle and I are expecting our first little bun sometime in Novemember! We are pregnant!! :) We are so excited, nervous, scared, overwhelmed, happy, grateful, and every other emotion in the book.
I found on last week on March 5th. I was supposed to start my period that day, but just decided to take a pregnancy test because we had been trying for 3 months now, and why not. As I was watching the double lines appear, I almost didn't believe it... REALLY?! TWO lines...? Is that correct?! They kept getting darker and I was shaking thinking NO WAY!
I had just gotten off work, and told Kyle there was something I wanted to show him. He came into the bathroom and I showed him the big fat positive, and he said "what does two lines mean?".. At which I said, it's positive!!! He couldn't believe it, hugged and kissed me! I think he was shocked and in disbelief. Even though we were trying, it still comes as a shock I think because I honestly was like "ohh.. probably not this month, again". Well...It's finally positive!!!! We couldn't be happier :) I also took a test the next few days on March 6th, and 7th with a total of 5 tests, just to be extra sure...All positive ++++ :)
My mom left for Kansas that next morning to visit Mike, JaNae and Coby, so we had to wait until she was back in town to let our parents know! It felt like the longest week of our lives... Waiting. My mom finally was back last night March 13th, and we went out to dinner at Outback with Chris, Gerlad, my mom and Kyle and my self. We told them we wanted to celebrate my birthday a little early since Chris and Aimee are leaving for Hawaii on Thursday. Well, we got settled into the resturant, ordered meals and an appetizer. Finally Kyle said to the table "So, not only are we celebrating Kelly's birthday, but how do you guys feel about being grandparents?!"... My mom said "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" and Chris said "Are you pregnant?!" and I said YES!!! They started crying, my eyes teared up and everyone was extremely happy to hear the news!! FINALLY!
Although I am only 5 weeks along at this point, we are just too excited to tell them the news. I know a lot of people wait until the ultrasound, but I think Kyle and I would have gone crazy waiting to tell our parents. We also told our sibilings and best friends, but keeping the secret safe other than that until the ultrasound... It was scheduled for April 17th, but they called me today and changed it to April 5th!! WOOHOO! A little earlier...And only 3 weeks away insteady of 5! I am excited. I can't wait to hear and see the little bean and their heartbeat! I hope they are healthy as can be and everything goes well.
As of right now, I am mostly feeling really, really tired. I am ccasionally neausous but mostly in the mornings/lunch time before eating. Once I eat, I am usually fine. I am also bloated as can be, boobs sore, and having mild/normal cramping/achey pains....Mostly just exhausted!
I am off of work this week using some vacation time, and I am so thankful to be able to catch up on some sleep and rest my body for now.. I am sure working 12 hour shifts as a RN won't be easy on this body.
I am ready! Grow little bean, grow!!!! :) We love you already!
